Apprenticeships give you the opportunity to work for an employer, earn a salary and gain a recognised qualification at the same time as gaining valuable workplace skills and experience.

  • Apprenticeships can be for people of any age over 16 years
  • All apprenticeships are at least 12 months long
  • All apprentices should work for at least 30 hours per week (exceptions in some professions)
  • All apprentices receive the appropriate national minimum wage

You will be required to develop your maths and English if you do not already have the required level qualification in these areas.

The Adult Education Service currently offers the following apprenticeship training:

  • Business and Administration - Level 3
  • Customer Service - Level 2 & 3
  • Teaching Assistant - Level 3
  • Teaching Assistant - PE Focus Level 3
  • Team Leader/Supervisor - accredited with CMI Level 3 Diploma in Principles Management & Leadership
  • Early Years Practitioner - Level 2
  • Early Years Educator - Level 3
  • Health and Social Care - Level 2, 3 & 5
  • Operations/Departmental Manager - accredited with CMI Level 5 Diploma in Management & Leadership
  • School Business Professional - Level 4
