You can renew:
- online via the app
- online via the website
- over the phone
- in person using a self-service kiosk
- in person at the help desk
How to renew
Renew online via the app
- Go to the app once installed on your device
- Select Coventry, GB and Coventry Libraries and login under User Profile
- You will need your library card number (the 14-digit number on the back of your library card)
- You will need your PIN (a 4-digit number you will have been issued with when you joined the library). Don’t know your PIN? Request your PIN. If you need your PIN urgently, phone any library during opening hours.
- Remember, you can only renew ‘unseen’ twice. The third attempt will be automatically declined as we need to see the item(s). Your renewal will be declined if the item is reserved by another borrower.
The Coventry Libraries Solus app is available for smartphones and tablets that run the Android, iOS or Windows operating system (excluding Amazon Kindle Fire devices - these run the Android OS but the app is unavailable in the Amazon app store). The app is one of the easiest ways to use our service.
You will need to visit the app store and download the app for your device.
The Coventry Libraries Planet Library app for children is available for smartphones and tablets that run the Android, iOS or Windows operating system (excluding Amazon Kindle Fire devices - these run on Android OS but the app is unavailable in the Amazon app store). The app is fun and interactive allowing children to search the library catalogue and request books, track their reading progress and catch characters in the library using an augmented reality game!
You will need to visit the Android app store, iOS app store or Windows app store and download the app for your device.
Tip - you can manage multiple accounts from our account in the app. You will need to login to your account on the app using your library card number and PIN. You will then need to select User Management, then scroll down to Add a User. You will need the library card number and PIN for each account you want to manage.
Renew online via the website
- Go to the online catalogue website and login to your account
- You will need your library card number (the 14-digit number on the back of your library card)

- Phone any library during opening hours for up to 2 phone renewals on each item
- Don’t know a library phone number? Find a library

- You will need your library card to renew item(s)

Renew in person at the help desk
Please note: renew in person at the help desk is unavailable during express service. This applies to Central Library only. Limited service is available during these opening hours.
- Visit any library during opening hours. Don’t know where the library is? Find a library.
- Go to the help desk
- You will need your library card to renew item(s)
