If you would like to know more before investing in the formal teaching qualifications of TESOL or CELTA this short introductory course is what you are looking for. Over 8 sessions we will look at :-
- An introduction to language awareness
- Approaches to teaching grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation
- Approaches to teaching reading, writing speaking and listening
- Different lesson methods
- Lesson planning and micro-teaching
- Lesson or video observations
- English language teaching and materials
We run courses once or twice a year to meet demand and will support you with further steps to progress onto a CELTA or TESOL course at the end of the course. Applicants need to have sufficient English language skills (Level 2) to apply. To see if the course is free for you, we will need to see information on personal and household income.
