The guide helps by:
- outlining the rules and regulations that we must follow in purchasing goods and services on both a local and National level
- explaining how suppliers and contractors can view opportunities available to them on our E-tendering system
- detailing the process on how to bid for council work, what information would be required and how we decide which supplier(s) and/or contractor would be awarded the contract
- highlighting relevant contact points which will provide further help and support to suppliers on issues covered within the guide
Additionally, the Council has launched its new Supplier Code of Conduct. The overall objective of the Supplier Code of Conduct is to build trusting and open relationships between the Council and Suppliers to drive improved performance throughout the Council’s supply chains. This Supplier Code of Conduct acts in a reciprocal way in respect of our Suppliers and sets out the behaviours we would expect of each other.
