Coombe Abbey Park is an ideal setting for a gentle walk, little picnic or family day out. With its 500 acres of beautiful gardens, lakeside walks and woodland it is ideal for everyone. From the diverse ' Capability' Brown landscape to the SSSI nature areas, the park offers something for families, wildlife enthusiasts or even those just out for a quiet stroll through the wildflower meadow or woodland.

Travel by public transport
- You can get to Coombe Abbey Park by bus and train.
- The bus stops at the top of the drive on the Brinklow Road. There is no Bus stop signage or shelter, however all drivers are aware that they stop at the park and Hotel. If you are travelling from the Rugby direction towards Coventry you will need to cross the busy Brinklow road. The bus stop is 0.4 miles / 0.6 km from Coombe Abbey Park
- The nearest train station is Coventry. The train station is 6 miles / 9.7 km from Coombe Abbey Park
- The 85 bus travels from Coventry Railway Station to Coombe Abbey Park. Coventry railway station is approximately 6 miles / 137.8 km from the park. There is taxi rank outside of the station and the 85 bus stop is just to the right as you exit the station.

- From the main entrance to the dining area, there is level access. To get to a table, there are no steps.
- The dining area is self-service. If you need table service, staff can help you.

- From the main entrance to the gardens, there is level access.
- The route is sloped. The route is 2500mm wide, or more.
- The gardens and woodlands are signposted and trail information can be found on our visitor guide. The majority of our footpaths are wheelchair and pushchair-friendly.

Designated Walking Trail
We have three designated walks. Ranging between 1.5 miles - 2.5 miles.
- Some of the trail has a loose surface. Some of the trail has cobbles.
- The walk into the Old Deer Park does have an access gate which some wheelchairs may have issues with. On request there is an alternative gate that could be opened for access. The trail is sloped. The trail has seats. There are bird hides along the trail.
The Bird Hide
At the hide entrance, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. There are low windows in the hide, so wheelchair users can see outside.
Top Pool Lodge
- From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. The route is 2500mm wide, or more. The entrance is 2500mm wide.
- Located at Top Pool Lodge are unisex accessible toilets and baby change along with a disabled toilet.
Also located is Kiosk in the Park which is open most weekends and school holidays.

Hermits Hollow
- From the main entrance to this area, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp. The route is 1000mm wide, or more. The entrance is 2000mm wide.
- The path to Hermits Hollow is 2m wide and is made of gravel on top of tree root protecting mats. At the entrance to the play facility, the path narrows to 1.8m and opens out into the play facility where there are different types of ground including gravel, wood chip and the woodland floor.
- Natural bench seating is provided at 50cm high.
- Ramp to access the play equipment is 1.3m wide and 1.2 at its narrowest point. The ramp leads to the first tower where there is room to turn and also leads to accessible slide 96cm wide.
- Ramp to the toilets and baby change within Hermits Hollow at its narrowest point is 1.3m. A disabled toilet is 51cm high and is a right-hand lift.
- Ramp to the kiosk is 1.3m wide at its narrowest point.
