Watch partner spotlight - how can the Watch charity digital health advisor help you?

Recently, #CovConnects have been working with a newly appointed Digital Health Advisor at the Working Actively To Change Hillfields (WATCH) Centre and the Navigation Primary Care Network to support residents and their digital needs.

Residents can be referred to WATCH through Social Prescribers at GP Surgeries that sit under the Navigation Primary Care Network (PCN).

#CovConnects have worked closely with WATCH to help them develop and deliver a programme of meaningful digital help support. As a result, residents who are referred to WATCH's Digital Health Advisor can now receive a wide range of support, including:

  • Online health resources
  • Digital skills support
  • Signposting to relevant services
  • Free SIM cards with mobile phone data
  • Digital devices

James Gough, Digital Health Advisor at WATCH, said:

"Great to be part of an innovative team as we develop new approaches to reach out to Coventry residents and address their digital health needs."

Bilal Tabassum, Digital Lead at Coventry Navigation Primary Care Network, told us:

"Working with #CovConnects and the WATCH Digital Health Advisor has been a great experience. Our Coventry Navigation PCN outreach events, where we've provided support on using the NHS App, have been invaluable for our patients and our PCN Digital Team. Together, we've established a strong partnership that will continue to benefit our community, through excellent initiatives like #CovConnects, ensuring everyone can access NHS Digital Services offered by the NHS, our PCN and member Practices."
