What to expect at one of our community testing facilities.

Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by one of our helpful volunteers who will check you don’t have any COVID-19 symptoms. You’ll have to bring a form of ID with you to gain entry.

Remember, if you have any symptoms or have been advised to self-isolate you can’t use the facility.

If you have symptoms, please book an appointment by calling 119 or visiting the NHS website. Tests for symptomatic people are available from five sites across Coventry seven days a week.

The facility is for anyone aged 2 or over, but anyone under 18 will need to be accompanied by an adult.

Once inside, you’ll need to register for the test.

You can register on your own smartphone, but tablets are available for anyone who needs one.

One of our volunteers will then direct you to the registration area.

If needed, they will be happy to assist you with filling out the form. Registration will take around five minutes.

After you’ve registered, you’ll be escorted to one of the testing areas.

Where one of our volunteers will talk you through the test.

You’ll be given a swab and you’ll need to swab the back of your mouth near your tonsils.

You’ll then have to put the swab up your nose before putting it in the tube provided by the volunteer.

If they are able to, children can carry out their own swabs but if not their parents can do it for them.

Don’t worry it doesn’t hurt!

Then after a short wait to check it’s worked, you’re free to go.

When it’s ready your test will be logged by one of our volunteers and sent to the NHS.

Your results will then be sent to you by text or email within 30 minutes of taking the test.
