Hello, my name is Doris Malissa. I'm a Senior Practitioner from the East team.
Since joining Coventry I've been part of a major restructuring process that has been the highlight of my career because that has given me an opportunity to progress so from an experienced social worker to an advanced social worker and to become a senior practitioner. All this has been through a journey where I have learned so much there's opportunities to train, opportunities to um attend further development such as I'm a Practice Educator and that's given me an opportunity to contribute to the future of social work workforce. Team managers encourage you to progress further that's why you're given opportunities to attend a number of trainings and also you're supported through it to ensure that you manage your workload as well as your personal development.
In Coventry, we have a clear progression path, and for our social workers, I'm an example of that and how that has worked for me and my fellow social workers here. You are supported through a number of training that is which is part of our um practice that encourages us to work well with children and families with support. You have managed caseloads and that offers flexibility to those workers who have other needs such as caring for young children and other members of family. It's my view that if you come to Coventry you will get it at it's best.
