“As the vaccination programme opened to under-25s last month, I booked my slot and got my first dose of the vaccine on Sunday. Like millions before me, I got vaccinated to protect others in my community and reduce transmission of the virus. At 21 years-old the risk of severe health problems from the virus are thankfully low. But the chance I could pass it on to others more vulnerable than me remains high. The vaccine is our way out and only together can we overcome the pandemic. So, when you get called-up, please book a slot and get vaccinated.”
