Equality and diversity are central to the values that underpin work with children and young people and their families.
This course enables learners to understand how these impacts every aspect of life, how to challenge prejudice and discrimination effectively and how to promote empowerment.

- Have a basic knowledge of legislation relating to this subject
- Understand issues in equality and diversity
- Understand the different types of prejudice and discrimination that can affect children and young people
