Your Vision Your Future is a project aimed at young people living in Coventry and there are a range of delivery partners on the project, and it's funded by the European social fund and supported under the youth employment industry. Within the covenant city council migration team, we work primarily with migrants and refugees who are between the ages of 16 and 29 and through your vision and future, we try to drill down into the reasons why certain people aren't where they would like to be while they are studying why they're not working and try to work with them to help them move into these positive destinations and to break down some of the barriers that they might be facing. Though Rosia arrived in Coventry very recently so within the last few months and as soon as she arrived, we could really tell that she had great ambition she was really energetic and so she has always been a joy to work with in that sense. She didn't have much experience of working in the UK and she didn't have many social connections so she didn't have too many ways into finding work so we worked with her to kind of assess what she'd like to do in the future and to see where we'll be able to help so we worked on things like CVs, looking for jobs, uh job searching, job applications and thankfully she managed to find a role relatively recently at a restaurant.
Abigail called me and she says this project here is this project later I want to join. Together make a cv and later we together is association and Abigail is find my job.
Rosia made most of the project really just by being so keen and so energetic she's not really said no to things over the past few weeks and she's been really keen just to improve her chances of finding a role so in that sense she's really open-minded and really easy to work with and I think that's really why she's got so much out of the project is that she's put so much into it as well.
