Our VLR vehicle takes to the tracks - Video and audio transcripts

So here I am at the very light rail innovation centre here in the black country. I’m here today because I’ve just been for a go on a very light vehicle and as I just scroll around here so you have to work with me today you can actually see the vehicle in the background and this has just taken a number of passengers around on this track on their first ride on this innovative vehicle really really exciting moment today the first time I’ve ridden on it and proof that it actually works. This is part of its testing that it has to go through in order to prove the concept, but I can report to you today it actually works. So, we've just walked up to the part of the trap that he's actually a loop com come with me and you get a real sense of what it is I’m actually talking about. So, the vehicle itself goes right round this loop and I’ve just sat in and experienced that for myself. That's important because there is no other track-based vehicle anywhere in the world that can do this radius which is 15 meters which the rail geek is very very important because it means it can therefore run on very tight streetscapes in cities and towns hence the reason for this and hence why it could be really innovative and it could be used in places like Coventry and elsewhere so today we've really experienced a complete world first - a very light rail vehicle running on a track going round radius like no other anywhere in the world.
