#COP26: What's Coventry doing? - Video and audio transcripts

Hello and you could not have failed to have heard about cop 26. It's all over the media. It actually stands for conference of the parties 26. It's the 26th gathering of world leaders to talk about climate change and the effect on earth. Well here in Coventry we just want to take you through some of the steps that we're taking as a city to try and improve our climate and improve our city at the same time. We are really ahead of the game in greening up our city, in planting trees. We are of course looking to make many of our buildings completely sustainable and carbon free, bringing in heat heat source pumps, putting in solar panels etc and of course we are very innovative in the realm of transport in terms of very light rail, in electrifying all of our buses, in terms of our taxi fleet looking to go electric. We've got the most electric vehicle charge points anywhere in the country outside of London and we're looking to the future. The future is electric, the future is carbon zero, the future is here in Coventry.
