Cllr Caan talks with Olympian, Chelsie Giles at Sports Fest 2021 - Video and audio transcripts

Cllr Caan - Amazing having Chelsie here with us today. I want to congratulate you, you are brand Coventry’s biggest superstar at the moment and we’re so proud. How’re you feeling?

Chelsie - It’s crazy to have all these people supporting me and I’m just happy to be a part of the community.

Cllr Caan - Can you tell us a bit about where you’ve recently well, been running quite regularly? Which track is it?

Chelsie -In Stoke Heath on the Common. Yes on the Common, that’s the name, on the Common. It made me very very emotional seeing now an Olympic Champion. We’ve had young people, we’ve had older people using it. People of all different physical abilities and it’s amazing now we’ve got an official Olympian who uses the track.
