Early construction of prototype innovative light rail vehicle for the City of Coventry - Video and audio transcripts

Right I'm just here at uh mp aerospace here in the heart of Coventry. Why am I here? I'm here to see progress on our great very light rail scheme and project I'm here with Nicola Small who's the project manager for Coventry City Council exciting news here. What do you think about what's going on here today?

It's really exciting to be here and I'm absolutely delighted to be the program manager for the project as you can see the team working together with WMG and TDI together with mp aerospace as the build site for the vehicle we've all been working really hard on this project and it's absolutely a great privilege to see all the progress that's been made today. It's really exciting times looking to take this vehicle to Dudley at the end of January 2021 and get started with the testing programme so really exciting times of carpentry this is really brilliant actually we're actually starting to see the vehicle that often most of us are seen in pictures or just in computer images actually in the flesh or actually in carbon fibre and steel this is designed to be on Coventry's roads in the not too distant future. A revolutionary piece of transport designed in Coventry, built in Coventry, to be used in Coventry. This is the green industrial revolution in action right here in Coventry exciting times.
