Progressive Training
We are a small, nurturing provision that tailor learning journey’s to fit the needs of our student. We support students with special education, social and emotional need's to build awareness and develop strategies in order to succeed.
Throughout this course, we will embark on a journey of self-expression, creativity, and skill development. We will dive into a wide range of art mediums, including but not limited to drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking. We will learn how to manipulate these mediums to bring our artistic visions to life.
We will unravel the secrets of the colour wheel, explore different colour theories, and discover how to use colour effectively to evoke emotions, create depth, and capture attention. Through hands-on exercises, we will experiment with colour combinations and learn how to use colour harmoniously in our artwork.
Form, in two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) designs, will be our guide to understanding the world around us. We will study the elements of form, such as shape, line, texture, and space, and learn how to manipulate them to convey meaning and create visually engaging compositions. From the flatness of a canvas to the sculptural dimensions of clay, we will learn how to infuse our artwork with depth and dimension.
Textiles will add an exciting twist to our artistic repertoire. We will explore the rich world of fabrics, threads, and fibres, learning various techniques such as sewing, embroidery, and fabric manipulation. Through textile art, we will discover new ways to express our creativity, transform ordinary materials into extraordinary works, and explore the intersection of art and craft.
