Our Early Years, Teaching and childcare course is available for secondary students on Mondays or Tuesdays at the AT7 Centre. 16-Week Course attending 1 day a week / 8-Week course attending 2 days per week.
Work experience
Students will attend our provision 1 day a week to complete this course. Throughout the duration of the course, learners will have the opportunity to gain work experience in the soft Play area a the AT7 Centre on a weekly basis.
Students will need to plan and prepare mini activities to lead on in the Soft Play area. Learners will complete a Work Experience Journal each week, evaluating their progress, alongside completing coursework and exams to pass the modules included in the course.
Work Experience will be monitored and supported by North Staff.
4 Courses combined successful completion of the course will give the learner the following qualifications:
Teaching Assistant Level 1
Early Years
Teaching and child Care
SEN Teaching Assistant
CPD Accredited- Complete High
Modules
Module 1 - Concept of teaching assistant and differentiating with LSA
Module 2 - Building relationships in the school team
Module 3 - School Policies relevant to the job of a Teaching assistant
Module 4 - Assisting Learning and teaching in the classroom
Module 5- Understanding the curriculum
Module 6 - Self development - Qualification (If Applicable)
