The Job Shop first opened in Hertford Street in March 2012 to help people find work, training and apprenticeships.

After proving a huge success, it moved to a bigger premises in Bull Yard in 2013.

As part of the City Centre South developments, the Job Shop has now relocated to West Orchards.

Since it first opened, there have been over 250,000 customer visits to the Job Shop.

Over 65,000 residents have registered in the last 10 years.

Over 15,000 people have been supported into employment through the Job Shop since 2013.

Approximately 170 customers visit the Job Shop each day.

The team work with over 200 businesses each year to support their recruitment.

There is a team of 20 Employment Coaches who work in the Job Shop and in community-based locations across the city.

The Job Shop can help you with access to a range of Employability Workshops, 1-2-1 support with our Employment Coaches, training support to develop your skills, direct access to employer vacancies and English language support.

The new shop was funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
