Fast Forward Vocational Training and TeamSport Indoor Karting have teamed up nationally to offer an exciting, engaging, and unique opportunity for young people wishing to acquire vocational skills and qualifications.
Fast Forward are specialist training providers focusing on mechanics with an embedded SEMH programme designed and accredited by SYUK the provision has a determination to bridge the gap between disadvantaged youths and their peers to enable success and build positive futures across the UK.
Students will have the benefit of developing their skills in a “live” workshop where they will face real world mechanical problems allowing them to be fully immersed in the programme. Students will also be invited to make use of the karting track giving them a real carrot at the end of the session!

The nationally recognised Level 1 Motor Vehicle Studies course accredited by SEG will allow schools to offer an off-site vocational
training provision to their students in addition, this qualification will assist schools in meeting the Gatsby benchmarks, it will help schools
address the needs of each pupil (Gatsby 3), offer an encounter with an employer (Gatsby 5) and offer a meaningful work experience
opportunity (Gatsby 6).

With links to local colleges and apprenticeship training providers the FFVT & TeamSport training provision has pathways for students to achieve not only at KS4 but into Post 16 and beyond.
This accredited programme will see students complete the provisions full programme, taking an in-depth look into the STEM industry and completing the nationally recognised Level 1 Motor Vehicle Studies course alongside the full and comprehensive SEMH programme.
Unit 1 - Health and Safety for Motor Vehicle Studies - Learners will explore the responsibility of the employer and employee and the requirements of basic health and safety
legislation. They will identify workshop hazards and basic safety procedures.
Unit 2 - Introduction to Vehicle Inspection - Learners will learn the different types of vehicle inspections and how to carry out each to a specification.
Unit 3 - Introduction to Spark Ignition Power Units - Learners will find out about the main components of an engine, the operating principles of the four-stroke spark ignition engine and the function of gaskets, seals and locking devices.
Unit 4 - Developing skills in Assembling Mechanical Components - Learners will develop their manual skills working with basic assembly tools. - Qualification (If Applicable)
