Course Description
Last year there were 204,526 young people aged 17 years or younger referred to the NHS mental health services for anxiety.

That is one young person every 3 minutes.

And double what it was pre-Covid. (NHS data via The Guardian)

Approach to Success is a highly personalised, unique, 12-week intervention programme for children suffering from mental health and trauma. This course is designed to be delivered in the home, community and/or school.
The course has been designed to capture children who are struggling to attend school for several reasons. This may include children who are missing their education, trauma, school avoidance, low attenders, high anxiety, SEND needs and mental health concerns.
The purpose of our offer is to provide steps towards getting a child back into meaningful education. We understand each child is an individual, and each journey maybe different.
The course will entail Education Coaches working with children to form trusting relationships whilst an education programme is delivered. This will be delivered in an extremely sensitive manner whilst seeking reasons for their fears around school and education. Starting points will be recognised and progress recorded. There will be rigorous quality assurance and reviews to ensure that progress, however small is being captured throughout.
