We focus on academic progress, community inclusion, and employment preparation, with support from qualified teachers and experienced mentors to ensure each student’s progression. Our aim is to be the bridge back to education, not the final destination—equipping students with the academic skills, confidence, and independence they need to return to school and succeed.

Course Description
This course is delivered in the home to students who are unable to attend on site provision.
This informative course is designed to equip participants with essential knowledge about drugs, their effects, and the importance of making informed choices. Through engaging discussions and interactive activities, participants will explore a variety of topics related to drug awareness, including:
• Introduction to Drugs: Understanding the different types of drugs, including legal, illegal, prescription, and recreational substances.
• Drug Effects and Risks: Examining how various drugs affect the body and mind, including both short-term and long-term consequences. Participants will learn about addiction, tolerance, and withdrawal.
• Mental Health and Substance Use: Exploring the connection between drug use and mental health, including the impact of drugs on mood, behaviour, and overall well-being.
• Social and Legal Implications: Understanding the legal status of different drugs, including consequences of possession and distribution. Discussing the social stigma surrounding drug use and its impact on individuals and communities.
• Prevention and Harm Reduction: Learning about strategies for preventing drug misuse and understanding harm reduction techniques. Participants will explore ways to support themselves and others in making safe choices.
• Building a Supportive Community: Discussing the importance of open conversations about drug use, mental health, and community resources.
Participants will learn how to foster a supportive environment for those affected by substance use.
• Personal Reflection and Action Planning: Encouraging participants to reflect on their own beliefs and attitudes towards drugs. Developing a personal action plan for making informed choices and supporting others in their community. This course combines theoretical knowl

edge with practical applications, delivered by experienced facilitators who provide valuable insights and guidance.

By the end of the course, participants will be empowered to make informed decisions regarding drug use and contribute positively to their communities.
