We focus on academic progress, community inclusion, and employment preparation, with support from qualified teachers and experienced mentors to ensure each student’s progression. Our aim is to be the bridge back to education, not the final destination—equipping students with the academic skills, confidence, and independence they need to return to school and succeed.

Course Description
This course is delivered in the home to students who are unable to attend on site provision.

Week 1: Understanding Confidence Topics Covered: Defining confidence and its importance in personal and professional life. Differentiating between self-esteem, confidence, and self-worth.
Activities: Group discussion on personal experiences with confidence and areas for growth.

Week 2: Identifying Limiting Beliefs Topics Covered: Understanding how limiting beliefs impact confidence levels. Common negative thought patterns and how to challenge them.
Activities: Reflection exercise: identifying personal limiting beliefs and sharing strategies to overcome them.

Week 3: Goal Setting for Confidence Topics Covered: The importance of setting achievable goals to boost confidence. Learning the SMART criteria for effective goal setting.
Activities: Workshop on creating personal confidence-building goals.

Week 4: Developing Effective Communication Skills Topics Covered: The role of communication in building confidence. Techniques for assertive communication and active listening.
Activities: Role-playing exercises to practice assertive communication in various scenarios.

Week 5: Building Resilience and Overcoming Challenges Topics Covered: Understanding resilience and its relationship to confidence. Strategies for coping with setbacks and embracing failure as a learning opportunity.
Activities: Group discussion on past challenges and how participants overcame them.

Week 6: Celebrating Success and Moving Forward Topics Covered: Recognising and celebrating personal achievements, no matter how small. Developing a plan for continued personal growth and confidence building.
Activities: Final presentations: participants share their confidence-building journeys and future goals.

Assessment and Evaluation Participation: Engaging in discussions and group activities. Quizzes: Weekly assessments to reinforce understanding of course content.

Final Project: Creating and presenting a personal development plan focused on building and maintaining confidence.

By the end of this course, participants will have a deeper understanding of confidence, equipped with practical tools and strategies to enhance their self-belief and achieve their personal and professional goals.
