At Coventry Libraries, we believe that health and well-being are essential. Our libraries offer a welcoming, non-threatening space where everyone can access the support and information they need, whenever it’s right for them.
We offer reliable health information to help you stay informed and take control of your health. Look out for our health zones when you next visit. Our professionally recommended Reading Well collections are designed to support mental health, dementia, children and teens — trusted resources that can help you manage the well-being of you and your loved ones.
You’ll also find health drop-ins and events at our libraries, from health checks and baby clinics to vaccinations and mental well-being sessions. We host special events that tie in with national campaigns like Dementia Action Week and World Mental Health Day, giving you the chance to connect with professionals and get expert advice.
Well-being activities are another key part of what we do. Our libraries are great places to connect with others, whether you're attending rhyme time with your little one, joining a craft group, or learning new IT skills. There's something for everyone, and it's a chance to try something new in a supportive environment.
We also offer free digital access and support. With free Wi-Fi and computer access, we’re here to help you get to grips with technology, whether you're learning new skills or accessing vital online resources. We even provide access to digital health tools like the NHS app and website, helping you manage appointments and access healthcare services more easily.
And for those looking to explore further, we offer a wide range of books and digital resources focused on health and well-being. Our Autism Book Collections feature specially selected titles for children, teens, and adults. You’ll also find eBooks and audiobooks on topics like mindfulness, fitness, and healthy eating—perfect for supporting your personal well-being journey. Plus, we offer eMagazines like Men’s Health, Women’s Health, and Wellbeing Weekly, as well as a variety of e-newspapers, all accessible through our library apps.
So, when you think of health, think Coventry Libraries—a place where you can find trusted information, connect with your community, and take steps towards better well-being.
