Petitions for Elected Mayoral referendums
By law the Council has to say how many people have to sign a petition for there to be a vote on whether the city should have an elected mayor.
The minimum number of signatures (five per cent of the people allowed to vote in a City Council election), based on the Electorate in February 2018 is 11,514
If you have any questions about petitions for an Elected Mayor, call or e-mail Electoral Services.
