A charity concert for all the family from Heart of England Co-operative Concert Orchestra in support of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI).

Take a musical voyage across the ocean waves this summer at a charity concert from Heart of England Co-operative Concert Orchestra. In support of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution as it celebrates its 200th anniversary, this family concert will take place at St. Christopher’s Church, Allesley, Coventry on 29 June 2024 at 3pm.

This special concert will feature a selection of sea-themed pieces, showcasing the timeless power and beauty of the ocean and those who sail the seas through music.

The program includes:

  • Padstow Lifeboat by Arnold
  • British Sea Songs by Wood
  • The Hebrides Overture (Fingal’s cave) by Mendelssohn
  • Selections from South Pacific by Rodgers
  • Selections from HMS Pinafore by Sullivan
  • And many more!

As part of the orchestra's commitment to community and charitable causes, all proceeds from the concert will go directly to the RNLI, an organization dedicated to saving lives at sea. Now in its 106th year, the orchestra has been bringing music to Coventry since 1917 and is proudly sponsored by the Heart of England Cooperative Society. Last year the orchestra raised nearly £2000 for charities including Coventry and Warwickshire Mind, UNICEF and Global Care.
