We ensure that suitably qualified and Care Quality Commission (CQC) registered open access sexual health services are available to residents in the city. We do this by working with local providers based within Coventry to provide a full range of services.
Due to the open access nature of sexual health services, residents may choose to use other providers outside of Coventry who will not have established terms and conditions with us.
These out of area providers are not directly commissioned by us, and existing out of area protocols only exist for the cross charging of Genito-Urinary Medicine (GUM) services. Such claims will be dealt with on a case by case basis.
Payment process for the provision of GUM services to residents
Download the payment process [http://www.coventry.gov.uk/downloads/download/3884/gum_payment_process] for the period 1 April 2024 to 31 March 2025 and beyond, for those providers without a negotiated position.
Failure to comply with the payment process will lead to a rejection of an invoice. No alternative payment terms or mechanisms are available.
