We are pleased to announce that our ‘So What?’ clubs are returning this year.
These interactive sessions demonstrate the importance of using academic literature and research papers to make evidence-based decisions in different service areas in Coventry City Council. They are designed to help others read, critique, and apply the findings of research papers. This helps to build skills and confidence in evaluating academic work in the context of solving a real-life problem. All examples are kept relevant, showing how it is possible to develop solutions to issues related to the wider determinants of health.
Our first session, which took place in January, introduced the aims and structure of the meetings, with a focus on obesity prevention as the first example. We look forward to sharing updates on our monthly sessions.
