Last month the HDRC team presented at a seminar hosted by the Centre for Healthcare and Communities at Coventry University.
On the 12th December 2023, the Coventry Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC) presented at a seminar series hosted by the Centre for Healthcare and Communities at Coventry University. The session highlighted how the HDRC is going about developing research infrastructure and culture in Coventry City Council, including around improving use of research evidence to inform decision making.
The session included a discussion on how Coventry University, and the University of Warwick, are integral partners in the HDRC and how academics and expertise from both universities have led on developing the current pillars of work, such as the research training offer to be delivered within the Council.
At the end of the seminar, there was discussion to highlight where existing research in the Centre for Healthcare and Communities could be utilised in the HDRC and focus on where there is potential for further collaboration.
The Centre for Healthcare and Communities at Coventry University enables academic and clinical healthcare leaders, educators and researchers to develop and lead research across the NHS, universities and partners, creating the key links between research, practice and education to make a difference to patient care at local, national and global level.
