Dr Jack Birch, Research Fellow in Evidence Synthesis, has led Coventry HDRC involvement in a recent NIHR funding application on barriers to housing retrofit schemes.
In this application, the HDRC linked researchers from the University of Warwick and University Hospital Coventry & Warwickshire with the climate change and sustainability team at Coventry City Council. This led to an application that would have increased relevance to Council policy.
The HDRC also led an underlying literature review into existing work on the barriers that exist when people consider accessing housing retrofit grants that informed the proposed research that would be funded if the grant application is successful.
