Coventry City Council will use your personal information to run our Property Licensing and Housing Enforcement services. This includes: inspections, investigating complaints, providing advice, and investigating cases regarding private rented housing and licensing requirements.
We also deal with matters relating to health and safety in residential property. This includes: investigating cases of poor housing conditions, giving advice, undertaking inspections, investigating complaints about all private rented housing, including Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs), and dealing with complaints.
Personal data can be collected via bodycam footage in order to safeguard our officers and members of the public during inspections/enforcement operations and to provide good evidence for all parties in the event of complaints or investigations lodged with the Council or any other investigation into incidents, accidents or alleged assaults.
If appropriate, we will share this information with internal council departments or external partners to ensure compliance with our legal obligations.
