Use Borrow Box online via the app
- Go to the app once installed on your device
- You will need your library card number (the 14-digit number on the back of your library card)
- You will need your PIN (a 4-digit number you will have been issued with when you joined the library). Don’t know your PIN? Request your PIN [https://myaccount.coventry.gov.uk/service/Libraries___pin_request]. If you need your PIN urgently, phone any library during opening hours.
- Sign in; type in and select Coventry City Library, enter your library card number, enter your PIN
The Borrow Box app is available for smartphones and tablets that run the Android or iOS operating system (including Amazon Kindle Fire devices - these run the Android OS and the Borrow Box app is available in the Amazon app store). You will need to visit the app store for your device and download the app. The app is the easiest way to use the service.
- If you have an Android device (most Samsung, Sony etc devices), the Borrow Box app is available through the Play Store .
- If you have an iOS device (all Apple devices), the Borrow Box app is available through the App Store [https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/borrowbox-library/id562843562].
- If you have an Amazon Kindle Fire device, the Borrow Box app is available through the Amazon Appstore .

- Go to the Borrow Box [https://coventry.borrowbox.com/] website
- You will need your library card number (the 14-digit number on the back of your library card)

How to use Libby (by Overdrive)
Use Libby online via the app
- Go to the app once installed on your device
- First; select 'Yes', type in Coventry City Libraries, and enter your library card number (the 14-digit number on the back of your library card), then your PIN and select 'Sign in'
- Each time you use the Libby app you will automatically be logged in, so will not need to repeat this, or save your login details

- First; select 'Yes', type in Coventry and select Coventry City Libraries
- Then; select Add a Library Card and enter your library card number (the 14-digit number on the back of your library card) and select 'Next'
- Enter your PIN and select 'Sign in'

Use Press Reader online via the app
You can use Press Reader online via the app, on-site or off-site;
On-site access via the app
On-site access applies if you are using the Library Guest Wireless, or you are using a HotSpot.
- Go to the app once installed on your device
- Library Guest Wireless; sign in to the Wi-Fi using your email address
- HotSpot; a green coffee cup will be displayed in the bottom right hand corner of the app if you have HotSpot access. If the coffee cup is not green or displayed, go to more, then HotSpot Map, then find and select the library on the map.
If you leave the library, you will need to sign in to Press Reader using the off-site access instructions below.
Off-site access via the app
- Go to the app once installed on your device
- Sign in; You will need your library card number (the 14-digit number on the back of your library card). Select the icon for library card or group (this should be yellow). Type in and select Library - Coventry. Enter your library card number.

You will need to visit the app store for your device and download the app. The app is the easiest way to use the service.
