Application process
Once a completed application is received, the licensing team will consider the application and consult with responsible authorities, such as the Police, the Environment Agency, Planning, Environmental Crime, Environmental Protection and Trading Standards and other local authorities to determine the suitability of the applicant.
If an application is refused then the applicant has the right to make a representation and the application may be heard by a full Committee.
The application will be processed within a reasonable time, but we will aim, where practicable, to complete this within 28 days.

Right of appeal
If a local council proposes to refuse an application, it must give the applicant notice of the proposed decision. The applicant has 14 days in which to make representations. When the local council has made a final decision, it provides a notice of the decision with reasons. The applicant has 21 days in which to appeal.
