Coventry City Council’s new corporate plan, “The One Coventry Plan 2022-2030”, has been unanimously approved by city councillors at the recent meeting of Full Council meeting.
The One Coventry Plan 2022 – 2030 is reflective of the emerging priorities for the council, residents, local communities and the city for the coming years.
The Plan has been updated to reflect feedback from extensive engagement on how the council best delivers it’s priorities.
The three delivery priorities:
- Improving outcomes and tackling inequalities within our communities
- Improving the economic prosperity of the city and regions
- Tackling the causes and consequences of climate change
The two enabling priorities:
- Continued financial sustainability of the Council
- Council’s role as a partner, enabler and leader
With a clear vision: “One Coventry - Working together to improve our city and the lives of those who live, work and study here”, the One Coventry Plan will help bring people and organisations from across the city together to work as one to make the biggest, positive difference to the lives of those who live and work in the city.
Councillor George Duggins, Leader of Coventry City Council, said:
“After so much input from residents and partners, I am delighted that the One Coventry Plan was formally adopted at the recent Full Council, receiving cross-party support.
“I know all members would like to thank everyone that contributed to the development of our Plan and engaged with us.
“We are looking forward to welcoming our new Chief Executive who will oversee the implementation of the One Coventry Plan as we move forward to delivering this”.
As part of the formal adoption, the One Coventry Plan Hub on Let’s Talk Coventry has been launched. This will provide a single place for you to access information and keep up to date as the One Coventry Plan is delivered. It provides an easy place to learn more about the priorities and see how the feedback has made a difference and how people can continue to be involved.
