Coventry City Council’s popular Go CV scheme will be working in partnership with sandwich chain Subway to give Coventry residents an exclusive offer.

The scheme, which is used by over 100,000 residents in the city, gives access to discounts and offers when visiting local attractions. Since the launch of the Go CV mobile app in October 2022, savings can be made when shopping at local businesses too.

New for 2024, selected Subway restaurants in Coventry will be offering a free dispensed drink, bottle of water or cookie to Go CV members with the purchase of any sandwich, salad or wrap.

Go CV members will initially be able to get their teeth into this tasty offer at 13 Subway restaurants across the city from 1 February – 31 March 2024. Shoppers can either redeem their offer via the app or show their Go CV card when paying.

Councillor Kamran Caan, Cabinet Member for Public Health and Sport, said: “Not only can Go CV members take advantage of exclusive discounts and offers at local attractions and businesses, we also now have a national brand on board.

“So much money can be saved by using Go CV, so I urge every Coventry resident to register for this fantastic scheme.

“If you need some guidance and support with registering, you can find a full list of places that can assist you to sign up on the Go CV website.”

Councillor Jim O’Boyle, Cabinet Member for Jobs, Regeneration and Climate Change, added: “Having a national brand partner with Go CV really does show the scale of the scheme – and it’s only going to get bigger.

“We now have a huge variety of businesses on board, plus over 100,000 residents registered. We’re bringing businesses and residents together to support one another and encouraging residents to use shops and businesses here in Coventry.

“We know it’s a difficult climate for businesses at the moment. So, if you run a local business, it’s worth looking into the Go CV app to see if you can create an offer for Coventry’s residents to take advantage of. In doing so, your business will be exposed to thousands of residents across the city.”

Daljit Nahil, who is responsible for store development in the West Midlands at Subway, said: “We are really excited about working with Go CV as this is the first time we’ve offered something like this to residents in Coventry.

“All of the participating restaurants are owned and operated by local franchisees, living and serving in their communities. Now they will be able to give an exclusive offer to over 100,000 residents in their city through Go CV.

“I really encourage Go CV members to take advantage of this fantastic offer at their local Subway.”

The full list of participating restaurants can be found on the Go CV website.

Residents living in Coventry can join Go CV for free via the website. Businesses interested in partnering with Go CV and creating an offer for Coventry residents can register for free via the business portal.
