Coventry City Council will host their largest ever Schools Apprenticeship Fair on Tuesday 6 February 2024.
Taking place at Coventry Rugby Club there will be 275 year 10 -13 students from Coventry schools, coming to meet an exciting array of large employers and training providers.
Additionally, Prospects, commissioned by Coventry City Council will provide support for 16–18-year-olds who are not currently enrolled in school to attend.
The event is part of National Apprenticeship Week and has been organised in partnership with; The Apprenticeship Ambassador Network, Careers and Enterprise Company, CW Chamber Training, Think Higher and WMCA.
Councillor Dr Kindy Sandhu, Cabinet Member for Education and Skills at Coventry City Council said: “It is wonderful that so many young people in Coventry have this fantastic opportunity to learn more about apprenticeships that are available locally.
“The diverse range of options on offer will help to support the development of aspirations and provide practical routes from school to long-term apprenticeship career pathways.”
Employers such as Coventry City Council, Coventry Building Society, Coventry University, David Lloyd Clubs, Jaguar Land Rover, National Gas, NHS, Severn Trent, Warwick University and The Hill Group (City Centre South Project) will be on hand to connect with the Year 10–13 students.
In addition, there will be a range of fascinating hands-on activities and career talks to provide attendees with relevant, engaging and meaningful experiences.
