Following the sad death of one of the candidates, the planned election for Radford Ward on 2 May was postponed. It has now been announced that the election will take place on 20 June.

​The Notice of Election will be published on 15 May when the nomination period will start. The last date for candidates to submit nominations is 4pm on 23 May. The candidates who were validly nominated for the 2 May will remain nominated, new nominations can be received during this period. The Statement of Persons Nominated which will list the candidates will published by 24 May on our website.

All electors who are currently registered and are eligible to vote will receive a poll card after 16 May.

If you've recently moved or turned 18, you may not be registered. You can register at www.gov.uk/registertovote. The deadline to register to vote in the election is 4 June.

If you wish to vote at the polling station you will be required to show an accepted form of photographic ID before being issued with a ballot paper, to find out more information on what forms of ID are accepted or on how to apply for a Voter Authority Certificate (VAC) visit our website. The deadline to apply for a VAC is 5pm on 12 June.

If you are unable to attend the polling station, you can apply to vote by post. Alternatively, you could apply for a proxy vote. The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on 5 June and the deadline to apply for a proxy vote is 5pm on 12 June.
