Making a formal planning complaint

Complaining to Coventry City Council

We are here to help you. You can inspect planning applications and any relevant policy documents from our planning application website [https://www.coventry.gov.uk/planningappsearch].

If you do not understand any aspect of the proposals then please contact the Case Officer using the 'Make a Representation' option that is available via the planning application search [https://www.coventry.gov.uk/planningappsearch], where applications have yet to be determined.

If you feel the proper procedures have not been followed by us in making a decision then you can make a formal complaint in writing to the Customer and Performance Manager, Planning and Strategic Transportation, Coventry City Council, PO Box 7097, Coventry, CV6 9SL who will investigate your complaint or use the Speak up, we're listening online form [/form_speakup].

Complaining to Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman

If you are unhappy with the way we investigate your complaint you can ask the Local Government and Social Care Ombudsman [http://www.lgo.org.uk/] to investigate whether maladministration or a service failure has occurred. The Ombudsman however cannot consider the planning merits of the proposal. Further details about the Ombudsman [http://www.coventry.gov.uk/info/5/contact_the_council/545/comments_compliments_and_complaints/2].
