Learn Digital Skills without the exams

We offer a range of courses covering the digital skills you’ll need for work or to prepare you for the formal Digital Functional Skills qualification, but without the need to sit a formal exam.

All of these courses are free, provided you meet the grant eligibility criteria.

Course location

We run courses at a range of centres across Coventry, so we can offer you an option close to where you live or work.

Course times

We run classes during the school term times. They vary in length from one week to five weeks. 

Classes are normally one session per week, and we have them on various days in the week.

Morning classes are from 10.00 until 12:00

Afternoon classes are from 12.30pm until 3pm

Evening classes are from 6.00pm until 8.30pm

Entry requirements

There are no formal entry requirements, but we would expect you to demonstrate that you are working towards English Entry Level 3 or above.

There is an expectation that you would have access to a laptop and reliable wifi.

How to enrol

Before you can enrol on these courses, we need to assess your current skill level. You can book a place on an enrolment session. This will ask you to choose the venue where you would like your appointment and then ask you to choose the day and time that suits you.

ID needed to enrol

You will need to prove your identity and that you meet the grant eligibility criteria. To do this we need to see some ID

  • If you were born in the UK please bring your birth certificate, driving licence or passport.
  • If you are an EU citizen please bring your passport/ID card and a share code generated within the last 90 days.
  • Otherwise, please bring your resident's permit, passport with visa or whatever documentation you have that shows your resident status.
  • We will also need your National Insurance Number.
