Godiva Festival: Coventry’s flagship family-friendly music festival sees over 70,000 attendees each year. With past headliners including Rudimental, The Libertines and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, the event has seen many international stars take to the Main Stage. Godiva Festival also supports local artists by giving them a platform and is on a journey to improve its sustainability.
International Children’s Games: Coventry’s most talented athletes aged 12 – 15 years old compete in the International Children’s Games each summer as Team Coventry. The event sees over 1000 athletes from cities across the world take part in the International Olympic Committee-sanctioned event. This year Team Coventry are travelling to Mexico to represent the City in Athletics and Girls Football. Coventry hosted the event in 2022.
Go Parks: Active Schools Challenge and Children’s Mile: The Go Parks: Active Schools Challenge is a mass participation schools-based event that spans four weeks in the summer. 2024 will see a Paris 2024 Special - celebrating the Olympic & Paralympic Games. The Challenge involves getting active in parks with friends, family and your schools' community to win points for your school! The Challenge provides an opportunity to win virtual medals and build your very own medal table, In 2023 over 100 schools took part and with over 12,000 people getting active through the project. Coventry's annual Children's Mile takes place in the War Memorial Park and is open to all Coventry schools. Family and friends are invited to watch as school classes race around the park in this event with over 2,500 children from over 60 schools take part. View the photos from 2023.
Coventry Chargers Kabaddi team: Coventry has entered the British Kabaddi League for the first time ever. Sponsorship opportunities are available for the team’s kit and display boards around the court. All matches will be shown live on BBC iPlayer and across the world. In addition, in March 2025 Coventry will host the Kabaddi World Cup which will provide sponsorship opportunities to a worldwide audience.
