Due to the activity being based "in" the water a minimum physical swimming competency is required for safety. All young people need to be able to confidently swim in line with Swim England standards. Swim England standard for a child: Perform a star float for at least 60 seconds. Tread water for at least 30 seconds. Be able to swim in clothing. Be able to swim at least 100m with ease and without stopping. Staffing ratios are 1:11 Lifeguards on site for emergency assistance.

Kit List: - All young people will be provided with wetsuits and a safety buoyancy aid on arrival. - Young People will need to bring a swimming costume/shorts to wear under their wetsuit. - A towel to dry off! - Any medicine (e.g. inhalers) they need to take during the day.
