- Supporting the development of health and safety policies and procedures
- Supporting the consultation process through health and safety committees
- Audit of health and safety management systems and compliance with legislation
- Supporting the development of health and safety action plans
- Site-based monitoring and inspections
- Supporting with risk assessments and control measures
- Analysing and advising on incident and accidents reporting
- Supporting with reporting RIDDOR reportable accidents/incidents to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE)
- Liaising with stake holders to ensure systems are joined up
- Advising on specific risks such as asbestos and legionella
- Specialist technical advice/support during major refurbishment/building work, meeting the requirements of the CDM Regulations
- Liaison with the HSE, Police, Fire Service, insurance services and other agencies, in accident reduction initiatives
- Support with emergency planning and fire safety
- Assessment of first aid provision
