Where and when to register a death

The Medical Examiner's office will send the Medical Certificate of Cause of Death (MCCD) electronically to our office.

You must register a death within 5 days of us receiving the MCCD (including weekends and bank holidays).

You will be advised by the Medical Examiner's office when they have sent it to us. They will also provide you with a unique code to be able to book an appointment with us.
