Resident Permit Schemes - Permit application guide

Taranto Permits 

Register for an account

  • Register for a new account via the Permit Portal
  • Enter your postcode and select your property address. 
  • Follow the on-screen instructions. 
  • When you receive a confirmation email, log back in and select your customer type: 
    • Resident 
  • You will need to do this to complete your account registration. 

Apply for permits

  • Log into your account. 
  • Select the type of permit you require. 
  • Read and Accept Terms and Conditions
  • Enter your vehicle's registration. 
  • Add vehicle
  • Select Duration
  • Select Permit Start Date 
  • Upload requested proofs. 
  • If you are unable to upload the required proof documents via the Permit Portal, please email a copy to parking.permits@coventry.gov.uk 
  • Pay for the permit. 
  • You will be notified when it has been approved and ready for use. 
  • Vehicle details can be amended via the Permit Portal.

Visitor vouchers 

  • Visitor vouchers are 1-day digital permits for ad-hoc visitors. 
  • You will need either a current Resident Permit or a Visitor Voucher Account. 
  • You can apply for a Visitor Voucher Account via the online portal. 
  • Visitor Vouchers are digital permits and last for 1 day only. They can be pre-set for a specific date. 
  • The Vouchers run from 00:00 to 23:59 on the day. 
  • You can use more than 1 voucher if you have a visitor staying overnight or for more than a day. 
  • You can activate a maximum of 3 daily visitor vouchers at the same time. 
  • When a voucher has expired you can replace it the following day 

Buy/use visitor vouchers

  •  Log into your account. 
  • Click on ‘Buy  a voucher' 
  • Buy the number of visitor vouchers you require. 
  • To 'Activate' click on 'Available vouchers'
  • Click ‘Activate’ 
  • Select the number you wish to use.
  • Enter the start date. 
  • Enter the vehicle registration number. 
  • Click 'Activate' 
  • You can activate vouchers in advance and if no longer required you can ‘deactivate’.
